Workshops for organisations, institutions and individuals
Navigating the developmental map needs different doorways
From focused skill-building to deeper exploration, these workshops address familiar challenges in leadership, well-being, communication, learning and human relationships. Each can be adapted for a particular audience and context.
Half-day or full-day. Standalone, part of a longer engagement, or an entry point into the programme.
Various workshop themes
Leadership Development: Beyond Managing Compliance
Collaborative leadership · inspirational leadership · management vs leadership · leading across generations · coaching skills for leaders
Leadership is often discussed in terms of behaviours, styles and competencies. But beneath these lies a more difficult question: what helps people genuinely participate, think for themselves and carry responsibility rather than simply wait for direction?
This workshop explores leadership as a relational and developmental practice. Depending on the context, it can include collaborative and inspirational leadership, developing ownership and accountability, leading across generations, delegation, developmental conversations and coaching skills for leaders.
Rather than treating leadership as a fixed set of behaviours, participants explore the difference between directing, managing, advising, listening and facilitating the thinking of others—and when each may be needed.
Beyond Coping: Stress, Well-being and Psychological Safety
Stress management, resilience, emotional regulation, nervous system regulation, psychological safety, trauma-informed practice, inclusion and belonging
Stress is not always simply the problem. Sometimes it is a signal that something in our bodies, emotions, relationships or environments requires attention.
Most approaches to stress management focus on what individuals can do: regulate, recover, become more resilient and cope better. These matter. But they are only one part of the picture. People can learn to regulate themselves while continuing to live and work in conditions that repeatedly overload them, keep them vigilant or make important things difficult to say.
This workshop works across both levels that are often separated: what individuals can do with their own nervous systems and emotional experience — including recognising load, somatic and emotional regulation, and noticing stress before it becomes damage — and what a group or system does that shapes safety, belonging, inclusion and the capacity to speak honestly.
It can draw on relevant insights from nervous-system science, trauma-informed practice and social engagement, while asking a wider question: what happens when people and systems appear to be functioning while carrying stress, disconnection or fragmentation that remains largely unseen?
Because individual regulation alone cannot solve an environment that repeatedly dysregulates people. And systemic change is difficult when people have become disconnected from what they are experiencing.
Communication, Conflict and Relationships
Assertive communication, difficult conversations, conflict resolution, interpersonal relationships, team dynamics, boundaries and principled negotiation
When communication becomes difficult, we often focus on finding the right words. But words are only one part of what happens between people.
Sometimes we know what needs to be said but cannot say it; disagreement becomes conflict; or a conflict is resolved only to return through a different person, issue or situation. Sometimes people become so attached to their positions that nobody is listening to what matters underneath them.
This workshop develops practical capacities for assertive communication, difficult conversations, conflict resolution and healthier interpersonal and team relationships. Depending on the context, it can include boundaries, listening, working with disagreement, principled negotiation, distinguishing positions from interests and communicating around shared principles and objective standards.
Alongside practical skills, the workshop explores what makes communication and relationships difficult in the first place: assumptions, power, competing needs, fear, expectations and recurring relational dynamics.
The aim is not simply to say the right thing or settle the argument, but to become better able to understand what is happening between people — and to work with the relationship as well as the issue.
Experiential Learning: From Participation to Practice
Experiential learning · adult learning · learning and development · learning transfer · reflective practice · facilitation
Learning is more than receiving information, and participation is more than simply taking part in an activity.
This workshop explores how people learn through experience, reflection, interpretation, dialogue, experimentation and repeated application. It can draw on principles of adult learning, experiential learning cycles, reflective practice and approaches to different forms of human capability and learning.
Participants explore how to design and facilitate learning experiences that engage people actively and help learning continue beyond the training room.
Particularly relevant for trainers, facilitators, educators, L&D professionals and leaders responsible for developing others.
Change & Adaptability: Working With the Human Side of Change
Change management · adaptability · resilience · transition · behavioural change · personal transformation
Plans can change quickly. People usually do not.
Even when a change makes sense intellectually, individuals and groups may encounter uncertainty, resistance, competing commitments, identity questions or difficulty translating intention into new practice.
This workshop explores the human processes involved in change and adaptation. Participants examine how people respond differently to transition, uncertainty and new demands, and explore approaches that support participation, reflection, experimentation and meaningful adaptation.
Depending on the context, it can be designed around organisational change, leadership through transition, personal transformation or building adaptability in uncertain environments.
